Worship Ministry

The primary aim for worship at WMC is to present an offering that is glorifying to God in a way that engages all generations. In order to accomplish this, we have three focuses:

Undistracting Excellence: The starting point for engagement in a worship service is to first lead in a way that is skillful and stylistically sensitive to our congregation, so as to not be a distraction to those we are leading. We are not after perfection, but rather to offer our very best to God in worship.

Biblical Rootedness: The words we sing in worship should primarily be drawn from who God has revealed Himself to be through Scripture. We believe that we cannot improve upon what God has already said about Himself, and we want to accurately sing about our God.

Generational Sensitivity: At WMC we have the amazing opportunity to worship together as multiple generations. We choose to be intentional about making sure all generations are considered in the planning of our worship service. We do this through the songs we sing, and in how we use technology to support our worship service. We place a high value on the unity of all generations, as we seek to be a place where the call to worship our God together prevails over personal preference.
