Steve joined Woodburn Missionary Church in December of 2021. Prior to this Steve served as pastor and teacher at Blackhawk Ministries and Christian School. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Taylor University and Grace College for 15 years.

Steve holds a Master of Arts in Biblical Exegesis from Wheaton College, a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education from Clearwater Christian College and is nearing completion of a Doctorate of Ministry from Biola University.

Steve and his wife Jody live in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They have a daughter, Hannah, who is attending Calvin University and a son, Christian who attends Blackhawk Christian High School. Steve loves spending time with his family and enjoying life together.



Steve's passion is to teach the scriptures at the highest level of accuracy and effectiveness communicating the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ with cultural engagement, intellectual honesty, and loving enthusiasm. His gifts of teaching and encouragement are evident in his interactions with our church family.
