The Ministries of Woodburn Missionary Church
At Woodburn Missionary Church we take our ministries very seriously. All our ministries fall under three key areas of purpose. These include EXALTING (worship), EDIFYING/EQUIPPING (instruction), and EVANGELIZING (missions). Our goal is to reach children, youth, and adults in all three of these areas:
- Exalting the Lord through the Worship of God
We want to encourage believers of all ages to be involved in public worship. Our Sunday morning services are for the entire family. They consist of a blend of songs ranging from modern worship choruses to some of the great hymns of the faith. We also worship the Lord through the giving of our tithes and offerings. Sunday morning worship always includes a Bible-centered teaching that is practical for everyday living. - Edifying and Equipping believers through the Word of God
The Bible teaches us that "faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God." God honors His Word and His Scripture is the foundation for our faith. We believe that people grow in their faith by studying, applying, and obeying God's Word. So one of our high priorities is to use the Bible to teach and train children, youth, and adults. We have a high view of Scripture and believe God's Word to be inerrant, infallible, and authoritative. - Evangelizing the lost through our witness for God
Reaching the lost is of high value to our church. We not only reach out to unbelievers in our weekly Sunday morning services but we also minister outside the walls of our church to a world in need. We do this through short term missions teams, through financially supporting missionaries, and through prayer. We want to reach our "Jerusalem", our "Samaria and Judea" and the uttermost parts of the earth (Acts 1:8)
